When I received an email from influenster saying they wanted to send over Marc Jacob’s NEW Eye-Conic Eyeshadow Palette I was like, “BET!” I was already eyeing these them. When it comes to beauty mail, you never know what you’re going to get. So I sent a little prayer to glam heaven in the hopes I’d receive Glambition. Welp, it worked because thats exactly what I got. From fashion design to eye-design M. Jacobs wins with this palette in “Glambition.” I can’t speak for the others, but this one is perfection. Before I get into my review, check out a few more images below. If you’ve been reading my blog for a while you know that packaging means a lot to me. Its just as important as whats inside. The palette has a nice weight to it, its super sleek/sexy and beams of luxury.
The Eye-Conic palettes come with 7, multi-finish shades. “Finishes include: buttery matte velvet, shimmering satin, sparkling silk, and metallic lamé. Each curated palette includes a covetable mix of chic neutral, wearable shades and provocative pops in a new super-plush shadow formulation to cover lids in lasting, velvety-rich pigment. Available in six different colorways, choose the wardrobe that speaks to you, then layer it on to make the ultimate impression.” – Sephora.com
Here are a some swatches. No matter how hard I tried, the photos didn’t do the colors justice. Gotta get my lighting together. Any-who…
Of course I couldn’t help myself and swatched the shadows before reading the description. That buttery, matte, velvet finish is everything. These shadows feel like a baby’s back side. Trust me I know, mom of 2 here. This has to be the best beauty item I’ve received in a while. I prayed to receive the Glambition because 1. I’m a neutral girl. 2. It’s compact, perfect for travel (well, they all are lol) 3. The shade range allows you to take your look from day to night. For these reasons I’d choose this palette to go with me anywhere and leave the rest at home. Most neutral, compact palettes don’t have a deep brown or black eyeshadow; this one does. Also, it doesn’t have that annoying square/box shape like most eyeshadow palettes. They never fit comfortably into any cosmetic bag; this one does.
Marc Jacobs NEW Eye-Conic Multi-Finish Eyeshadow Palette’s retail for $49. I’m not going to lie, that’s a little steep for 7 eye shadows. However, this palette is to die for. From packaging, pigment to the finish. Its sexy and perfect the neutral and makeup minimalists like me.
