As a natural glam lover, I love to keep my makeup (and my client’s makeup) on the lighter side. It’s not often you see me with a lot of detail around the eyes, but I will make sure you see me GLOW. You should be glowing all year round, and these items make sure I do.
If you follow me on Instagram, then you’ve seen me gush over this baby in my IG Stories. Many of you quickly let me know how “old” this product is. My bad, I didn’t know and the truth is I’m spoiled. Most of the time when I discover a new item it’s via a PR package. Bobbi Brown ain’t sweating me so I had to buy this one on my own. Last month I was playing around in Sephora (like always), swatching a million things on my hand. To the point where I could tell you what each swatch was. I left that day with two Fenty Beauty lipsticks. When I got to my car, I looked at my hand and one of the highlighters swatched on my hand made me GAG! The problem was that I had no clue which one it was. My kids were fussing, so I took a photo and decided to return later to find it. I went to Sephora and swatched the 5 it could be, stepped outside to see it again in natural light and boom. Here we are….(hold for swatches).
All of the other highlighters I’m about to share you can find a review on right here on the blog. As of today here are my Top 4 Highlighters!
- Make Up For Ever’s Pro Sculpting Duo #2 – Gives me an amazing summer glow all year long. I will also just go ahead and say that this is my absolute favorite. If you made me choose one, it would be this one hands-down.
- Bobbi Brown’s Highlighting Powder in Afternoon Glow- I will demo this in a video soon. I just got it and need to truly break it in. I’ll be buying a second for my pro kit cause this baby is mine!
- Artist Coutour Diamond Glow Powder in Sugar Daddy. I love to use this as a topper. This highlight truly makes me look like diamonds are embedded in my cheeks. Speaking of I need to get my hands on La Peach. Any of you have it? If so let me know if I should get it.
- Make Up For Ever Pro-Light Fusion Highlighter in Gold This item I believe is the same as #1, but minus the bronzer. This I’d recommend to those with deeper skin tones.
Swatches anyone?! This picture doesn’t do these items justice. The next time you find yourself in Sephora, pay these beauties a visit. I swear you’d end up leaving with one of them
What good is a bomb highlighter without a bomb highlighter brush?! I have to thank Lisa, of Lisaalamode.com. She put me on this $6 Anastasia Beverly Hills brush dupe via her IG stories. The original ABH Highlighter brush is $23, so I figured I’d take my chances. I ordered 3 of them and when I tell you they are legit, they are LEGIT. (Pictured below)
I hope you guys enjoyed the post. Trying to get back into the swing of blogging at least 3x a week. That’s the least I could do right!? Please share with me your favorite highlighters below or on my Instagram!
Until next time,
